As a player for the Atlanta Hawks, Trae Young is one of the brightest stars in the NBA. But his accolades started before being drafted to the NBA. Trae was considered one of the best players in the 2017 recruiting class and the second-best point guard prospect that year. He became the Oklahoma Sooners’ first five-star recruit since 2010. After a phenomenal first season, he decided to forgo his next three seasons with Oklahoma and was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 2018. He was later traded to the Hawks and was selected to the 2019 NBA All-Rookie First Team. Trae is also a two-time NBA All-Star who was named All-NBA third team in 2022.
