Rapper Fredo Bang turned a hard upbringing and time served into focus, determination, and resilience. In Fall ‘22 we welcomed him into the PSD Family.
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Fredo Bang started rapping as a teenager. Fredo first caught the attention of fans with his 2018 mixtape, "Big Ape", which quickly went viral thanks to its hard-hitting beats and gritty, real-life lyrics. Since then, he has released a string of successful mixtapes, including "Most Hated" and "In the Name of Gee", that have continued to build his fan base and cement his reputation as one of the hottest up-and-coming rappers.
His time spent in jail and hard-luck upbringing informed his material for the rest of the decade, especially on his solo mixtape debut, 2 Face Bang. He pulls no punches when it comes to discussing the realities of life in the streets, and his music often touches on topics such as drug abuse, police brutality, and the struggles of growing up in poverty.
